Lotus Pose or Easy Pose

This pose can be done anywhere, anyplace, anytime and with anyone...

Sit in the center of your mat...bring your legs into criss cross applesauce formation...take your pointer finger (reading finger)...and thumb ...bring them together...and place them on your knees...keeping your spine straight...breathe in...breathe out...repeat 3 times or more...on the last breath make a wish!!!

 

Downward Dog Pose

Stand up straight with your feet firmly planted on the ground...Bring arms above your head...then dive down to the ground with your hands in front of your toes...jump or walk your feet to the back of your mat...bring your backside up to the sky...so you are in an upside down "V"...try and lift one leg...then the other one...

 

Tree Pose

Imagine your feet are the roots of a tree...allow your body to stand strong and proud...when you are balanced...lift one leg...first to your ankle...to your calf...then to your thigh...lift your arms high to the sky pretending they are branches...What kind of tree are you???...count to ten and repeat with the other leg...

The last part of yoga is the most rewarding...it is called relaxation...we finish relaxtion with the word "OM"...it is a beautiful blend of all the sounds of the universe.
